Redlands Council Members sworn in

At Tuesday’s evening council meeting newly elected council members were sworn into the council. They included newly elected Council Member Pat Gilbreath, who is returning to the council two years after her last term; Mayor Pete Aguilar was reelected to a second term as both a council member and as mayor; Sam Irwin was elected as to his first term following his appointment in 2009; and Robert Dawes was newly elected to serve as city treasurer.Paul Foster was voted as Mayor Pro Tem.

Each council member was elected to serve a full term of four years. After they each gave their oath, the newly elected members swapped seats with the person who they were replacing.

In addition to new members being sworn in, a former council member Jerry Beam has stepped down after five years on council. His fellow council members each gave a few words of recognition.
