At Tuesday’s Council meeting, City Council held nominations to fill a vacancy. The Council is need of an extra Council member to fill the spot as soon as possible.
“The City Council chose to have an appointment to fill the vacancy rather than an election,” Rialto City Attorney, said.
There were two people who were nominated by residents of Rialto. These individuals were Lynn Hertz and Rafael Trujillo. Joe Britt also made a nomination to be considered for Council. The City Council voted on Lynn Hertz and Rafael Trujillo since they both had support and recommendations from the community; however, the Council was divided between the two candidates and were unable to make a decision at the meeting.
