Rialto family thanks Rialto Fire Department Paramedics for service

At last Tuesday’s council meeting, a Rialto family thanked the Rialto Fire Department Paramedics for their service.

“This presentation is a very unique, but special one because it allows us to do two important things,” Rialto Fire Chief Mat Fratus said. “First it gives us the opportunity to acknowledge some very remarkable personnel for the work that they do, and second, it gives us time to step back for a moment to reflect on some of the most important things that we do here (at the department) every day.”

In December 2012, Elizabeth Schidecker came to the Rialto Fire Department to speak to the fire personnel. Due to them being on-call, Elizabeth couldn’t talk to them; however, she was able to talk to Chief Fratus where she thanked him personally for the paramedics saving her husband’s life.
